Located 86 miles from Fort Wayne, Diamond Lake spans 1,078 acres and is intersected by four townships: Calvin, Jefferson, LaGrange, and Penn. Sixty percent of the lake is less than 10 feet deep, and the maximum depth is 64 feet. Praised for its pristine crystal clear water, Diamond Lake contains two public boat launches, one marina, and a 43-acre island at its center.

Boating, swimming, water skiing, ice skating, and fishing are popular pastimes here. The most common fish species include small and largemouth bass, perch, rock bass, bluegills, and walleye. Locals claim that large gills and bass are situated at the southeast border and bite the most between 5 and 10 a.m.
